One off LARP events for the role-play connoisseur

The aim of Fruitrock and co. is to run unusual one off live action role-play events for a select group of players. The advantages of this set up include:

Running one off events outside of a campaign setting:

  • Flexibility- because the events are not run within a campaign they can be set at any time, in any place, with any scenario.
  • Character realism- because folks won't have to worry about losing out on downtime for events they cannot attend or losing a character they have invested a lot of time in.
  • Different working teams- although all events will be run by Fruitrock and company, it is likely that a different team will be working on the organisation and running of each new event, as the need for consistency of style is greatly diminished.
  • Variety- each event will be very different from the last as we plan to run events around whatever takes our fancy at the time. So it is possible that you could attend anything from a 1920s murder mystery, to a modern day air-softing horror, to a medieval game of political intrigue.

The selective invitation of players means we can ensure:

  • High quality crew.
  • Reduced potential of cheating.
  • A "safe and happy" environment for new LARPers.
  • A smaller group of players, which then means plot and character can be tailored to suit individuals.

The focus on quality means we are limited to running between one and two events a year. Costs will vary depending on catering facilities, venue and number of players and crew.
